Closing long day with some Orlik golden sliced (I'm only smoking this flake these days 🤣 ) in my Peterson Kapp-Royal.

I love the simmetry of this pipe, flames on both sides and a beautiful perdrix eye on the front and back 😍

I’ve been smoking PS 81 Danish Export today and I am right now in a TV churchwarden. For whatever reason, it seems a perfect pick for today, I will probably stick with it all day.

Having a bowl of Samuel Gawith Best Brown Flake from last year in my Peterson Rocky 53 Lovat. My pipe has a little bit of that tonquin ghost from lastnight but it makes the BBF taste even sweeter and creamy.

Man I really enjoyed this. It's over 20 years old (a gift) and had absolutely no edges. I wasn't sure about such a simple blend and an "English" with no VA or Oriental.

But it was deep and melded. The Latakia sings. And it has some strength from the Burley. Looking forward to a second (and last) bowl.

Amphora Virginia. That stuff is full-flavoured.
Savinelli 315 Prince.
I am a sucker for Bulldogs, Princes, Apples, Billards. Cobs or Briar.

Should have went with my cob as well.  Big n Burley out a Savinelli 207 doesn’t feel right.

Ahh, common mistake. Packed it too tightly. Little correction and it smokes just fine. Damn that weed produces tons of smoke 😂😂😂

Three Nuns, 5-year aged, in a Savinelli Armonia bent Dublin (with meerschaum spacer 😊).

Wow! Just, wow!

Since it's winter in Chile, I'm more geared toward English blends. Usually my first smoke of the day is Father Dempsey, for mid-day HH Burley Flake and at night Pirate Kake or Star of the east flake.
To change the rotation a little with some virginia I go to PS 400.

I’m still smoking PS81 Danish Export, but it’s in my nature to mess with things a bit, so I’m smoking 90% PS81 mixed with 10% Perique. I’m really liking it, I might play with the proportions a bit in the future, but it’s a fun addition.

Funny you say that Ted because lately I'm finding my most enjoyable smokes are when I throw together a microbatch of whatever sounds good. I usually make enough for about 3 bowls.

Right now it's white and dark burley, with about half as much Mature Red VA, a splash of Latakia and a pinch of unflavored greenriver cav in a cob.

Really nice smoke.

That sounds good. I was thinking of altering my little PS81 batch next time with 3% Latakia. I like doing little batch experiments, when I first started doing them there was a higher percentage of snooze worthy results, but the more I’ve done the more that I come up with ones I like. I make 10 gram batches so it’s easy to come up with accurate percentages if I want to repeat or alter them.

Just got home from work and having a bowl of 1792 Flake in my Peterson Rocky 53. I've slowed my cadence down a whole lot with this bowl. I'm working on an 1hr and 30 mins and just got to the half way point. I have a new flavor development smoking it this slow. A herbal almost red pepper flavor and spiciness that I find with Toscano or Parodi cigars is coming through pretty noticeably. It works very well with the tonquin. Man, I haven't been as excited like this about a blend in a long time.

Really special this blend aye? I just remember myself feeling like that with 1 or 2 tobaccos in almost 10 years of pipe smoking. Ultra master flavor explosion!

This is my 2nd smoke of this blend and, I have to say, I love it! I’m a big fan of the standard Three Nuns. But, this 5-year aged release is even better! This is my first experience of smoking aged tobacco. Any scepticism I had about it has now evaporated!

I have been experimenting Aged Burley Flake with different proportions of Torben Dansk Orient Spezialität. Orientals and Burley get along very well.
