Thanks. The finish darkened up a bit after cleaning and reconditioning/waxing - more red/brown than orange/tan - which I’m liking a lot.

Solani Gold aka Blend 779 in my Peterson System pipe, paired with Guinness 0% (which is absolutely delicious - best non-alcoholic beer ever!).

Yeah. I don't like how the edge feels on my fat lips. I also think it looks better.

I know many are not a fan. Each to their own. It's more comfortable for me and protects the stem.

I'm somewhat of a clencher.

The rule applies once again:

the way you enjoy your smoking experience the most is the right way.

Hell, glue a rubber bit to the bowl if that helps the experience I say.

I've never tried that and never saw it to sale, but I'd like to try for my Sasieni with cracked stem...

I use rubber bits on every pipe.

Two seems like double the fun.

I've just got big fat Cindy Crawford lips and clench the pipe kinda deep I guess. I can feel the edge of them and I don't like it.

As long as there is a solution to the problem (the bits) everything is going to be just fine. Plus/Nice side effect: your pipe doesnt end up like the Sasienie from pipozzo 🫣

I’m back to smoking Royal Yacht today. I was all over the place with my blends and a cigar yesterday, it’s nice returning to it after that. I’m smoking it in a KOC meerschaum that I don’t smoke often.

All this RY praise lured me back to McConnel -Paddington since Royal Yacht 🛥️ isnt available in Germany for some unknown reason. Same as Escudo. I dont get it. They produce it in DK and ship it all the way to the States. Why not dropping some off at your teutonic neighbours?
anyways. Paddington. Exzellent smoke in its own right. Recommended.

Sav Siena 510 KS works well with the Blend.

It is odd that it’s not available. However I think Paddington is great! I have quite a few tins of it and I actually think it’s closer to the previous generation of RY than the current Royal Yacht, I like them both.

Where do you source your Paddington in the USA? I’m a RY fan so I am interested to try it.

Toasted burley + Latakia + Izmir with some unflavored Green River Cavendish to hold things together in the Ranz Freehand Blasted Bog.

Absolutely delicious.

I'm going to have to update my review of this stuff at some point. I was way too harsh on it. Classic blend.

I just haven’t been able to put the Royal Yacht down, still smoking it. Right now in a Karlheinz Joura.

I’m tending to smoke one bowl per day these days. Today that one bowl isn’t Royal Yacht, though I nearly chose it coincidentally. It is another old classic:  3 Nuns (5-Year Aged). I absolutely love this blend. It hit the spot perfectly tonight. In a Stanwell Night & Day.

Hopefully not one of those “Peterson Guys” that only posts comments about how they are better than everyone else because they only smoke Peterson’s pipes 😜.

So I don't know if you know, but pipe in french means also blowjob, so yeah, it really isn't a pipe in magritte's painting, but still, it is...

No. I, for one, did not know that. …adds an additional dimension to the surrealism. Not that it needed one. The word “pipe” already has two meanings in every language. And, the image, actual object, and written/spoken word are already different things. Throwing sexual inuendo on top of all that …sort of over-does it and spoils it for me. I liked it better when I didn’t know. Then again, it can be a “secret handshake” for those that want it to be. More power to ‘em.

Well, maybe Magritte didn't intended to put thebsexual innuendo, who knows...

2nd attempt at robert mcconnel fragrent blend. In a cob. Still not sure about it. My girlfriend is not complaining so I suppose the fragrant part is true at least.
