Not something I find appealing. But it's pretty interesting to see evolution. Vauen makes a pipe that looks like a pod vape and has some of the characteristics of a Dugout.
Huh, I’m not sure what I think of that, but it’s interesting.Â
The bowl is small. I can actually see it being good for other smokables. The filter is appealing for that.

Yeah, it almost seems they wanted to try to get in to the more luxury herbal market, but in an uncontroversial way. Price seems a bit steep for what you get.
Yeah I was thinking like $80 or something. But it's got me thinking about making a filtered herbal pipe.Â

I feel that Missouri Meerschaum is being much more honest with their offerings:

Weird. Fishtail mouth piece they say doesn't resemble any fish I've ever seen. Then again, doesn't resemble a pipe either.
So this Vauen pipe got me to thinking about a very small bowled filtered pipe for herbal blends.Â

But then I decided to search Amazon and found this for $16.99. I didn't expect much but figured for $17 why not?Â
Wow. Mind blown. This thing is nice. It comes in a nice box with a pipe sock, six 9mm filters (nice ones) a cheap Czech tool, and 2 rubber pipe bits.Â
It's quite solid and well built. I'm pretty sure it's oak. But it's nicely finished and has a nice bit.Â
I've already given it a whirl with an herbal blend and... Oooohhhh yeah.Â
But I'd smoke any of my pipe blends in it for a quick little 10 minuter. It seriously has a good draw. 😂
